About the New Name

From Dan ‘The Man’ Johnson:

YES !!! We have changed our name. D T M (Down The Middle) we decided was a more up to date name. Formerly “The Special Edition Dance Band” was a little 60′s like American Band Stand era. D T M started out as Dan The Man but I didn’t want that. Since we perform middle of the road music a little this and a little that, Keith came up with Down The Middle. Todd added the bomb in the logo and said “Because we are”.

So there you are ! D T M “Down The Middle” No changes with members or music. Just a more upbeat name. Look forward to seeing you shake it on the dance floor. Down The Middle……

From Dan himself: Finally!!! We will be performing at Uncle Freddy’s on Sept 30 Friday night from 8-12. Please come and join us for some great dance music & fun. Plenty of parking and room inside. They have a full bar and great food. This will be our first Public appearence and want it to “Pak the House”. Exit 5 off I-75 south. Go right 100yds. Turn left at Wendy’s and follow the road 500yds to large plaza. Uncle Freddy’s is on the end. I’ll send reminder out the week of the 26th. We are excited !!!

About the New Year’s Eve Gig…

Although this will be the official first gig, it will not be open to the general public. The Elk’s Lodge is a member’s only place, so you can only show up if you get an invite from a member. Of course, that isn’t to say that you can’t start trying to get yourself invited by one Keep checking back here for more gigs as they are posted; you don’t want to miss a chance to see these guys play!
